                                  History behind Janmashtami Lord Krishna was Devaki and Vasudeva's son. He was born when Mathura was ruled by his uncle Kansa. This evil king wanted to kill his sister's children.  भगवान कृष्ण देवकी और वासुदेव के पुत्र थे। उनका जन्म तब हुआ था जब मथुरा पर उनके चाचा कंस का शासन था। यह दुष्ट राजा अपनी बहन के बच्चों को मारना चाहता था। As a prophecy revealed that the couple's eighth son would cause Kansa's downfall and kill him someday. जैसा कि एक भविष्यवाणी से पता चला है कि दंपति का आठवां बेटा कंस के पतन का कारण बनेगा और किसी दिन उसे मार देगा।      As the prophecy spread across the land, Kansa imprisoned Devaki and Vasudeva. He also killed their other children.
